Navigating the Invisible: Understanding the Risks of EMF, Dirty Electricity, Wi-Fi and covering why you want to stay wired for your health!!

Today, I want to delve into a topic that’s been buzzing around a lot lately – the impact of EMF exposure, dirty electricity, and Wi-Fi on our health and vitality. It’s a concern that has grown close to my heart, especially considering our children are the first generation growing up in a world saturated with these invisible waves, which is the topic that I dive into on this podcast episode.

The Unseen Dangers of Modern Convenience

As a society, we want things to happen faster, quicker and easier, but sometimes we don’t see the hidden costs that come along with the convenience.
I remember as a young kid, being in awe of watching food spin in a microwave for the first time. Fast forward a few decades, and we’re learning the downside of such conveniences. Microwaves, for instance, strip away nutritious value and bombard our food with high-frequency waves and since learning this we haven’t had one in our home for over 20 years. It’s a pattern repeating with many modern technologies: incredible convenience at the potential cost of our health.

The 5G Conundrum and Wi-Fi World

As technology leaps forward, so do concerns about the untested long-term effects on our health. The rollout of 5G is a prime example. Sure, it promises faster internet, but at what cost? There’s significant speculation and concern over health implications, especially with continuous exposure.

Lets also not forget about the convenience of airpods, bluetooth headphones, and wearing a phone on our wrist 24/7. These conveniences have all become a ‘normal’ part of life for many, but the long term health effects are simply not known.

Dirty Electricity – A Hidden Hazard

While researching for my book “Raising Healthy Families in Unhealthy Times,” I stumbled upon the concept of ‘dirty electricity.’ It’s a form of electromagnetic pollution created by many electronic devices and can have serious health implications, particularly in places of rest like our bedrooms.

Practical Steps Towards a Healthier Home

So, what can we do? First, awareness is key. Assess where your modem is placed in your home – is it close to where you spend a lot of time or sleep? Consider turning off Wi-Fi at night and hardwiring internet connections where possible.

Also, rethink your use of mobile phones and Bluetooth devices. These devices are constantly sending and receiving signals, and we’re only starting to understand the potential impacts on our health. Opt for wired connections and headphones, and keep mobile devices away from your body as much as possible.

The Power of Choice and Awareness

While we can’t escape technology – nor would we want to, given its benefits – we can make informed choices. It’s about finding a balance that works for you and your family, being aware of potential risks, and taking practical steps to mitigate them.
